Work work work...

Sorry for the lack of updates... I was looking for a job, found the job, went for interview, and went for the 5-day training which ended yesterday (Friday).

What job? Well attempts to find a job in 1 Utama failed. Most of them didn't have any vacancies... Guess I was too late =(

I heard Ken Chong and Satchid found a job as a telemarketer at VADS (old IBM building) Since they needed more people and it was very near my house, I went to apply. On the day I wanted to apply, I went mamak with my DU friends, so I wasn't dressed formally. So, the first thing the interviewer said when she saw me was: "you aren't dressed for an interview!!" Paiseh!! So I told her I came to apply for the job only, and I wanted to be interviewed the next day. Not such a good first impression for a job eh?

The next day, I dressed formally and went for the interview. It was Friday. They have this culture where all their employees wear casually on Fridays. OMG was I supposed to know that I'm supposed to wear casual on Fridays?? Well it's not my fault if I don't know right? Even my interviewer was wearing jeans and T-shirt.

Back to my interview, I waited at the HR department for 1hour just to find out that if I wanted to work with Ken Chong and Satchid, I had to be interviewed by another person. She transfered me to this other person who was having a meeting. Grr... had to wait another half-an-hour before she showed up. Then she took me to another floor, just to have me wait another one-and-a-half-hours!! ARGH!!

When interviewer was finally free to interview me, he took me to another room, asked me if I knew how to speak mandarin, spoke to me in mandarin, then hired me without and further questions!! At first I felt a bit weird, but heck, he's not wasting any more of my time!! In a nutshell, I went there at 8.30am, and went home at 11.00pm. And 90% of the time I was... WAITING!! Grr... Curse those Malaysian timings...

The training started the following Monday. For 5days, I walked there and back with Ken Chong and Satchid. For that 5days also, we spent too much money on food. So we decided to bring our own food for lunch. First on the list, spaghetti!! Since Ken Chong already have the noodles in his house and we only needed the sauce. It'll be simple, yet delicious!! =D

On the following Monday, I will start my work as a Telesales Executive. Sounds cool eh? haha...
