Graduation Ball 2007 (photos added)

***Updated with photos***
The day has finally come... The last time I'll see my friends as a student of SMKSAS.

The ball was on Thursday, Dec 13. The time stated on the ticket was 6.15pm but Ken Chong said he was coming to my house at 6.30pm. *cough*Malaysian timing*cough* When they arrived, I was busy putting on my tie, I had to tie it to absolute perfection. Sorry but that's just me. =Þ

Then Ken Chong came up to my parents' bedroom to try on my father's cot. I already got permission and he could pick any cot he liked. Most of my father's cot were either not matching with his pink shirt or too big/small. So he just picked a black one that fits him best and we were on our way! But first, we had to fetch Chung Kent. We were already quite late and there was a traffic jam near his place! Argh... *frustrated*

Even after fetching Chung Kent, he led us to the wrong longer road to reach the hotel.

So, late go + traffic jam + long way = Super Late!!

We were in such a hurry that we even messed up our look a little. So, when we arrived at around 7.40pm, we took a quick visit to the toilet and made that "so-stylish" entrance. Fortunately, the ball had not started yet. Knowing us, seniors, they probably set the time early so we'll arrive on time. XD

Time: 8.00pm
Venue: Royal Bintang Hotel
Occasion: Les Memoires De Notres Voyage
(which means The Memories of Our Voyage)

The ball started off with a speech from Kai Ying followed by Kar Fai as the ex-president of the Form 6 Society. Then it was dinner time! For starters, I took a bowl of soup and 2 buns since there was a long queue for the food. After I was done, I had the buffet area all to myself. =D

When most of us finished our food the performances started...

A couple from BU4 danced the Waltz followed by dance performances by 3 girls. Of course, there was also a time slot for dancing! The guys were free to invite the girls to dance but most of them without a girlfriend were just too shy.

Yes, I said "them", meaning me not included. XD I danced okay!? Apart from those catchy tunes and crazy dance moves, I was scouting around for a partner. Then, I saw an old friend who wasn't too happy that night. So I asked her to danced. I even taught her some moves I learned from Lee Quin previously! Thanks Quin! During the dance I cheered her up a little. At least she wouldn't have wasted her RM88 and not to mention that beautiful dress of hers.
P.S. She's not my girlfriend.

After the dance I felt a little hungry so I went for second round! XD
No worries, it was only fruits. =)

After another dance performance by the 3 girls, it was Shon's turn to light up the night with his magic tricks. First was the blindfold trick where he wrapped his whole face with aluminium foil. He asked Jason to hold a balloon then took out a razor sharp blade. He almost poked Jason by accident. (well actually on purpose) Then Jason chickened-out and let go of the balloon! XD Next, he chopped the wooden board Tysern was holding. I'm not sure why he asked Eunice to hold a handkerchief then just took it just like that, but overall it was a nice trick.

After a levitation trick or two, he played a video entitled "Bad Magic Tricks". It showed how magicians did the trick where the magician was to slam his hand over 4 paper cups 1 at a time with a nail until one of them and failed!! Meaning? They punctured their own hand!! OMG!! The worst one yet was the magician who used the one of the audience's hand instead of his own and spiked her!! He's SHIT I tell you!!

While everyone was still shaken by the video, Shon's next trick was the same one he advertised. First, he took out a wooden block with a nail attached to it vertically and proved that it was real. Then he called a volunteer up to the stage, which happens to be Wai Yi. He places 4 paper bags on the table. One of them contains the nail. Then he asked Wai Yi to shuffle them. Wai Yi was as nervous as the crowd so she didn't shuffle them too much. So, Shon insisted that she shuffle it again.

After that, Shon asks which bag she likes, with choices of one to four. Wai Yi picks the one without the nail (obviously on purpose) and Shon bravely slams his hand onto the bag. After picking out 2 bags, there was 2 left. That means there's a 50-50 chance that he'll either get terribly hurt or succeed in his trick. There was a lot of suspense before he asked Wai Yi to pick the last bag. Wai Yi obviously doesn't want him to get hurt.

Shon then asked her to pick her favourite number from one to ten. She picks seven. Shon then puts his hand above one of the bags then counts slowly from one to seven as he shifts his hand from one bag to another. When he reaches seven, he immediately slams his hand onto the chosen bag!! Everyone was very tensed at the moment. But when everyone knew Shon was okay, we clapped so hard that it sounded more spectacular than a David Copperfield trick!! XD

After Shon's life-staking performance, Yie Hahn played a video clip just for us, Upper Sixes. I'll let the video do the talking okay?

After the slideshow, the ball officially ended.
We were allowed to take photos.
I'll let the photos do the talking now =)

From Left: Yee Han, Jiaqi, Me, Lavania, Vitya (Prom Queen)

Me and Hui Ling

Kelvin and me

Wai Kidd: Eh, why so short?
Kelvin Ng: Cheh! I'll grow taller =)

Standing (From left): Kwee Huey and Pik Yuen
Seated (From left): Raja, Vitya, Yee Han, Lavania, Jiaqi, Debbie, Yu Ting, Hui Ling, Kar Khay

Group Photo!! =D
P.S. I still have a lot more photos but they're currently with Patrick =p

Then we moved on to the Laundry Bar at The Curve. I don't know why, but after arranging the tables just to fit all of us, we got up again and moved to a corner to discuss where to go. After a long discussion, we finally decided to go to McDonald's at Centrepoint. When we arrived, there wasn't enough space to fit all 20+ of us since the upper floor was closed. So we moved on to a mamak called Banana Leaf also in Centrepoint and settled down there. Imagine everyone in their best dress, especially the girls, having their drinks at a mamak. How awkward!! XD

Hui Ling: *referring to Ken Chong and me* You guys are so cute!
David: *the couldn't-believe-his-eyes look* They? Cute?!
Lolz...

After chatting for a while, the guys decided to go to Blitzone to game. I went off first with David to pick up Thong Siang while the others went there later. At round 4-5am, everything ended and we all went home. =)

Side Note: My deepest apologies to Hui Ling for *you know what*.

Exam is over! Woohoo! Time to partay!!

Everyone's starting to wonder,
What I did after my last paper
Where I went after my last paper
Who I hang out with after my last paper
When I reach home
Whose house I stayed over night at
How I enjoyed post-STPM life

So here it is, an exclusive to all my readers. =D

Monday 3rd Dec
Tick tock tick tock... Its 4.29pm and everyone's itching to end this torment.
"Anda boleh berdiri sekarang..." before he even finishes, Kee Peng springs forward and shouts as if he had just got out of prison! Everyone was more than thrilled that their final paper was over. While we were all busy discussing where to hang out, there was a chilling silence from the other side. Oops, they're still having their Bio Paper tomorrow. Better keep the celebration cheers till later.

Meanwhile, all my classmates prepare as the last day of STPM is also... Kok Hui's Birthday!! Of course, on a day like this we would always have a cake! After the songs, splashing Kok Hui, playing with ice like elementary students, yadda yadda, I followed Tysern together with Ken Chong and headed to KFC for a snack.

Then we chilled at Tysern's house until 7+pm and took off to a cyber cafe (TBun) in Aman Suria as planned. Not long after gaming, everyone (Kar Fai, Wei Loon, Ken Chong, Satchid, Kok Loong, David, Thong Siang, Tysern, Jason, Shon) was hungry so we went to the nearby Original Kayu to eat.

Tuesday, 4th Dec 12.00am
After that, everyone decided to hang at Tysern's place. Since we (me, Satchid, Ken Chong) played so much poker during our "study groups", we suggested to play poker. After a while, Ken Chong/David glued their heads to the computer monitor, Kar Fai fell asleep, and eventually there were 6 guys sleeping in Tysern's room. Then most of them went back until only me and Ken Chong was left in Tysern's house. We slept at around 6am. I woke up at 11am while Ken Chong was already awake playing Maple Story and Tysern still sleeping like a pig. After Tysern woke up, his mum took us out for lunch and not long after that Kar Fai called to say they're watching Hitman at 3pm. Tysern and me rushed there while Ken Chong had to feed the dog. Lol, too bad for him. The movie was very cool, way cooler than James Bond to me!

After the movie we walked around until we reached KFC to have some snacks. I went home after that just to have Chung Kent call me to go gaming again. I called Tysern to pick me up and guess what? He went there with David and Ken Chong but FORGOT ME!!! Sobs... Anyways I was sleeping like a pig while waiting for him on the sofa.

Wednesday 5th Dec
Shu Lin called me out to celebrate her birthday at 1 Utama. Woke up at around 10.30am and went to 1 Utama at around 12pm. Nothing much to blog about, we ate lunch at Carl's Jr, which I thought was Cow's Jr, then wanted to go to Neway for karaoke but didn't due to time constraints.

Went home, DotA, then Ken Chong and Satchid came over. I taught Satchid how to play Mahjong while we had the chance then Satchid's friends called him out to yet another cyber cafe. I drove us there and we gamed at ProExtreme. After around 1 hour, we decided to look for a better cyber cafe but the best one, BlitZone, was full that night. So we went back to ProX and continued gaming until 12am.

Thursday 6th Dec 12.00am
Wai Kidd, Ken Chong, Satchid and I went to Devi's Corner for supper. After supper, they came over to my place and started to MahJong, all the way until 4am. Then Satchid and Wai Kidd left while Ken Chong was left stranded in my house without transport. Knowing that Tan Jia Hong was gonna pick me up later, I felt sorry for Ken Chong being alone in my house. Turns out, he wasn't bored at all because he got to play Maple Story.

On the other hand, Jia Hong and I went to MidValley to buy tickets for the My Chemical Romance concert this coming weekend. After walking a few circles around the same place and a few calls to Kee Peng who already got his tickets, we finally found the darn office!! Argh!! After we got the tickets, Jia Hong forgot where he parked his car, so we walked circles at the carpark AGAIN!! Grr... Next time I'll drive!! When I came back, Ken Chong was still mapling. I forgot what happened after that but Ken Chong stayed over at my house again.

Friday 7th Dec
Satchid bought some hair dye and came over to my house. While Satchid and Ken Chong were dye-ing each other's hair, I went out for a haircut. When I came back, both of them had their hair brown-reddish in color. And they were so kind to leave the dye for me to wash. Oh man you can't imagine how it smells like! It feels like there were thousands of needles piercing my nose all at once!! Especially when I rinsed it with water... Argh I just couldn't stand the smell!! After everything was done and ready, Chong Xian picked Satchid, Ken Chong and me to Ken Chong's house while Ken Chong changed clothes. Then we went straight to Tysern's place to partyyyyyy.

We were officially celebrating Tysern's birthday apart from the suprise we gave him on that day itself. As that day was still during STPM, we delayed the celebration till this day. While everyone arrived, we started cooking the chicken and sausages using the BBQ pit. Kar Fai was in-charge of the chicken wings, Shiau cooked the patties while I cooked the sausages. During the whole night, I kept cooking sausages until there was only a few left. The patties ran out so fast that I didn't even got to taste it. I cooked the sausages separately twice. While the first batch was done, I left it on the table. When the second batch came, half of the first batch was gone! Grr, Kok Hui admitted that he ate it so I cooked another chicken wing to fill my stomach.

There was a magic show too, by who else? Shon of course. His tricks never fail to amaze me, especially those that concern prediction. Super accurate!! Alchohol and drunkards will always be part of Tysern's party. Thank god some of them knew when to stop. On the other hand, Chung Kent and Yie Hahn was drunk like nobody's business. We even played Taboo, which was always good for a laugh.

Tysern: *Points in between his legs* What's this?
Ken Chong: Pussy!!
Lolz!!

Me? After eating I burned all the food by dancing non-stop on the dancing mat. Seriously, I danced for around 1½hours straight without stopping!! Only until they wanted to go mamak/home that I finally stopped. While half of them went home, the other half chilled at TTDI Mosin. We had some food then everyone went on home.

Saturday 8th Dec
I reached home at 3am, played a game of DotA till 4am, then wanted to sleep. I ended up rolling around my bed till 5am and decided to come online to post this. =)
Now, I'm going to play football without any sleep, wish me luck!! =D

*Continue*

Today's football was okay. It was so cloudy that I could look straight into the sun. I was, as always, the last man. So, luckily running ain't part of my job. If it was, I would've fainted long ago. After football, we went to Restaurant Kim Wah for breakfast as usual. I was the first to reach. Since I didn't get any sleep, I fell asleep the moment I sat down at the table. But of course, I woke up when the others arrived. Then I found out that the gang were planning to watch The Golden Compass at 1.40pm. When I reached home I was hesitating whether to go or not. Since I had to do some shopping, my father gave me some money then sent me to 1 Utama.

Time: 12.00pm
Meeting Place: GSC

I reached at 12.10pm and thought I was late. But it was just the exact opposite, I was the first to arrive. The gang finally arrived at around 12.35pm. I finally understood why "Malaysian timing" is always later than the standard GMT+0800. We bought the tickets and headed to Nando's for lunch. Actually most of us didn't want to eat at Nando's but since there was a couple leading the group, we didn't want to ditch them. I ordered a bottomless soft drink and refilled it 7 times! (4 times before my chicken came) Hehe...

We finished at 1.40pm and rushed there straight away. I even went to the toilet before I entered the cinema and it just started when I sat down. The movie was okay, but the ending wasn't that spectacular as there will be a sequel. Then the couple led the group to this stall opposite of JUSCO to eat. The gang settled down to eat at around 4.50pm. I knew I had to go home before 6pm so I quickly said my goodbyes and rushed to shop for shoes and a prom shirt.

Since I only had 80bucks with me at the moment, I look at the price tag before even looking at the pattern. Saves time and money! =D After purchasing the shirt I took a bus home and got ready to go to my grandmother's place to celebrate my father's birthday.

An Elephant with a Broken Trunk

Elephants depend greatly on their trunks, without it, they can't eat, drink, or even bath! Yes, I am now, like an elephant with a broken trunk. Fortunately, I have 2 hands, that means one is still functioning, doing double the work.

Now I know how the disabled do their daily activities, even if it is only temporary.

Imagine:
1) Bandaging one hand with the other hand.
Quite difficult at the beginning but after that it's not that hard.

2) Washing dishes with one hand.
I was trying hard not to wet the bandaged hand.

3) Bathing with one hand.
A certain part of my body will always remain without soap.

4) Changing your clothes with one hand.
I had to change four times today to attend two wedding functions.

5) Eating with one hand.
Normally, its not difficult but they do serve prawns and chicken at the weddings.

6) Driving with one hand.
Yes I know it is dangerous, but my father was drunk so I had no choice.

7) Typing this blog with one hand.
Time consuming and full of mistakes.

So far this is all I could remember.
Tomorrow is my last STPM paper, Physics Paper 2.

But the BIG QUESTION is,

WHICH HAND???

F.Y.I. I'm right-handed.

Scenario 1:
It was my right hand that got injured during futsal and now my wrist hurts, A LOT. I bandaged my wrist to restrict its movement. Now, I can't even lift a pen let alone write. I will attend tomorrow's paper but I will be marked under the disabled category. I doubt I'll be able to complete tomorrow's paper and fail the subject.

Scenario 2:
It was my left hand. I can still write and pass my Physics.

So which hand is it??

Those taking the Physics Paper will find out tomorrow.
As for the rest, what do you think?

Ace or no ace?

Okay due to a certain someone, *cough*YJH*cough* I decided to update.

Exam is only 6 days away now. I am definitely ready...

But I am here not to say I studied. I am here to say, I won't get A for STPM!!

I haven't studied at all for the past 2 months and its only today when Ken Chong and Satchid came to my house for a group study that I realise how much I still don't know.

But rest assured that I will, from now on, study until I get at least an A-, given that I studied last minute. =p

Till STPM is over, see ya! =)

Stupid Test to Pwn Me (STPM)

Who can guess how many days, hours, minutes and seconds left before STPM starts?
And how long more till it ends?

No clue? Haha guessed so...

The answer is in my newly added countdown timer located on the right side of my blog. =)

EDIT: End of STPM countdown timer is now active!! Brace the coming freedom!! =D

I'm too smart to be waken up by your average alarm clocks...

EDIT: My new alarm clock position - pictures say a thousand words XD
Can you see it?

Can you see it now? =D

As some people already know, I can sleep anywhere and anytime. So, sometimes its extremely hard to wake me up even if you bodyslammed me (like what Kee Peng did), poked me (like what Chung Kent did), or even activated my alarm clocks.

Okay this is what happens when I fail to wake up. Your average alarm clock normally has 2 buttons, a snooze/light button and an off switch which is harder to press. Somehow, every time the alarm rings, I turn it off instead of snoozing it.

This morning, I wanted to wake up for football. As I slept pretty late, *cough*3.30am*cough* I set 3 alarms to wake myself up. First off, is the conventional bell ringing alarm, which is so loud it could be heard by the neighbours. Second alarm is the digital ringing alarm. Lastly, its my multi-purpose handphone. First to ring was the digital alarm. As expected, I sub-consciously turned it off, eventhough the off-switch was behind the alarm clock. Second was the bell ringing alarm. It was loud enough that I woke up, and press the snooze button consciously. Finally, when both my handphone and the snoozed alarm rang together, I woke up to bath.

Sometimes I wonder if there are people like me out there, and turns out, there is!! That's why they invented these nifty gadgets:

The 10 Most Annoying Alarm Clocks
#10 - Climbing clock
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It hangs above your head and starts climbing while it rings. Don't wake up fast enough, and you won't be able to shut it up without a ladder.
So that's the reason I see a ladder in your bedroom... XD

# 9 Wake Up Puzzle
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You have to build the puzzle to make it stop.
My kind of alarm clock!! =D

# 8 Wake or Curse
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You can ask it what the time is and it will answer. But if you don't wake up quickly enough it will curse you.
OMG!!! Curse you!!

# 7 High Tech
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This one has a vibrator, 95 db alarm and police style rotating light that you cannot ignore.
You must be deaf not to hear this!! XD

# 6 Find The Pin
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You need find the right pin to stop it's ringing. Not going to stay sleepy after this mission.
Which pin? Which pin?? WHICH FREAKING PIN??? *&^%$#@

# 5 Chicken and Egg Problem
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The egg laying alarm clock. It will only quiet down after you put all the eggs back.
OMG lost 1 egg!! How how how??? XD

# 4 GI Joe
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You will wake to the sound of your commander's wake up call. Don't mess with it.
On your feet soldier!! Hup one, hup two, hup three!! =D

# 3 Floating Around
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It will float around the room until you catch it.
Cool~~ A UFO alarm clock! =D

# 2 Kaboom
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This acoustic grenade will wake the neighborhood with it's ultra loud sound level.
Fire in the hole!

# 1 Hide and Seek
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The winner is the hide and seek alarm clock. Once it begins to ring it falls down to the floor and finds a random place to hide. Chase it down or else you're doomed.
This was created and designed by a group of university students and was featured on the Discovery Channel as an innovative invention.
Now just one problem, where can I get me one of these? XD

Scoring high sux...

Yes, there's not typo here, it says scoring high marks in exams sux... Why? Today, I've been reminded how I dread scoring highest in any subject, or in this case, any paper.

When I was form 1, I grew lazy and eventually ended up in a not-so-good class in Form 2. Then I swore I would get my marks back up and started working extra hard in Form 2. At the end of the day it was all worth it as I was 'upgraded' to a better class in Form 3... or so I thought.

It started when I was Form 3 in SMDU. Most of the students in my class were relatively smart, so some of them tend to be a little kiasu. They would literally hunt for the person who scored higher than themselves. If one were to score higher in a subject which he/she usually dominated, he/she would curse you for life. Even if he/she scored better the next term. Being me, I tend to copy the traits of people around me. So I got a little kiasu as well. Not in the sense that I'll hunt for the higher scorer, but I'll go around asking for their marks.

Here comes the sad part, whenever I got marks which was above top 3 in class, I would get discriminated. No one would even ask me questions regarding the exam. On top of that, they would remember my marks (even better than me) and use it as an excuse not to talk to me.
Example: "Aiyah I know you get 88% la now get lost!!"

Today, just like deja vu, I scored relatively high marks highest for Maths paper 2 in my class. Whenever I asked anyone for their marks, the response was "aiyah lower than you la" or "I know you get highest la" then I was completely ignored. The fact is, I like to gain more knowledge, so I don't really consider studying a bad thing at all. Only when this sort of thing happens, it discourages me to study harder.

As of today, STPM is only 40days away and yet I'm feeling this way. Right now, I'm thinking I should aim for a B or B+ instead of an A. Maybe that way, I'll lose less friends.

HTML Madness!!!

After much thought, I'm planning to ditch my friendster blog and continue blogging in this one.

So I took the effort of reorganising my blog page. But the freaking HTML drives me crazy!! When I added the ShoutMix chatbox, it became an adverlets ad, so I removed all the ads and start over.
Still, the problem persists...

If anyone may lend me a hand, and also a few tips and tricks in decorating blogspot blogs, it would make my day. =)

Maths magic!

Who's into maths here? Here's a good maths question I found from my e-mail.

Scenario:
There is a bus with 7 girls inside,
Each girl has 7 bags,
Inside each bag, there are 7 Big cats,
Each Big cat has 7 small cats,
All cats have 4 Legs each!

Question: How many Legs are there inside the bus?

The total number of Legs would be the password for this file:

Just a little IMPOSSIBLE QUIZ!!

Just like any quiz, this one provides options, though some may not be that visible.

For some questions, I understand the logic, but for others, I just shoot until I get the correct one. =p
(Yes you can repeat this quiz a gazillion times if you wish)

The questions so far had been easy, later questions may include a time limit (1-10secs) and no choice of skipping. Skipping can be earned though.

Update: There are 100 questions according to a friend who finished it.
Update 2: I'm currently stuck at question 66. It's a timed question so the bomb makes it hard to think >.<

Start of something new... Eyezmaze

Hi all and welcome to Puzzles United!! The best place for puzzles! =D
This will be the place where I will list some of the puzzles I've so far attempted/completed.

For starters, try

EYEZMAZE.COM

It has a few puzzles that require lots of logical thinking...
Here are those which I've completed:

Grow Nano vol.1 :
This should be the easiest since you just need to click on all 30 spots to complete it

Grow Nano Vol.2:
Quite easy, only 3 items, 6 ways to solve, 1 answer.

Grow Ornament:
Just place the decorations in the correct order to make them all level up to max.
This time its 6 items, 720combos, 1 answer =)

Grow Ver.1
Choose the correct one of 2 choices every time to win =)

Grow ver.2:
You have to put the items in a certain order to win. Also 6 items, 720 combos, 1 answer =)

Grow RPG ver.0:
Same method, but 8 items, a whopping 40320 combos but only 1 answer
However, you'll get which item to put in first once you've tried a few times. =)

Grow Cube:
10 items, 3.6million combos but only 1 answer... =D

Grow ver.3:
12 items!! 479million possibilities!!! ONLY 1 ANSWER!! XD
Okay this version got me really frustrated and the music ain't helping...
So I got Min-Yi to do it too.
I maxed 1 part, he maxed the other, so we exchanged info and both of us got it =)

Vannila ver.0:
A challenging game that requires precision, skill, and sometimes speed.

The object of the game is to make it grow as high as possible by clicking it from the bottom(pot) to the top bush.

Easy? You haven't heard the catch yet =p

The catch is, the position in which you click on the bushes.
If you towards the right of the head, it will lean towards the left and so does every bush on top of it. (and vice versa) And if any of the bushes touches the side, you lose! =)

Below is just an example of how high I got to, not my high score =p

There are other games which I've not mention such as chronon, hatch, tontie due to the length of this post. They're all mini games anyways except for chronon.
Feel free to browse around and give some comments =)
