Monday was the day Chung Kent officially turned 20.
In case I forget, it's on Sept 22, 11 days after Sept 11. =)
As usual for Kee Peng, he would tag along with Chung Kent's family for his birthday dinner. But this is the first time I celebrated his birthday since knowing him about 2 years ago during our Form 6 days.
Right after coming back from uni, Kee Peng picked me up and we both went to 1 Utama to shop for Chung Kent's birthday gift.
We could either share and buy 1 item or we both buy our own gift. I had no idea what to get him whereas Kee Peng intended to buy him a shirt.
I was thinking of getting him shorts to fit his shirt, but after walking around Jusco and visiting Padini, we headed to *mysterious location* since Kee Peng said the clothes there are cheap and nice.
(I know Chung Kent reads my blog so Kee Peng doesn't want him to know where we bought the shirt)
We scouted around and found many nice and cheap shirts but most of them only had the larger sizes left. Then Kee Peng found this shirt which he thought was so cool, he wanted to buy it for himself. But ended up buying it for Chung Kent.
Kinda like "if you love it, let it go", right? xD
Then we went on to look for wallets as Kee Peng said that Chung Kent needs to replace his old wallet.
Overall, the gifts were more value for its money AND practical for Chung Kent as well. That is, thanks to Kee Peng. =)
After shopping, we went to Chung Kent's house to give him his birthday present and chilled there a little while before his father came home. In the mean time, we had him put on the new shirt and use the new wallet straight away too! =D
As soon as he was back, Chung Kent's father took us to this Thai restaurant near Old Klang Road which is very near Thong Siang's house. Oops, hope Thong Siang doesn't read this =p
We were warned that it was really spicy. Especially their famous Tom Yam soup. In disbelief, Kee Peng drank a big scoop of the soup and it burned him, literally. After seeing his response, I drank some of the soup too, but slowly. I'm surprised that it burned me too!! Yes, it IS that spicy!! =p
Chung Kent mentioned that his first time eating there was with his mum and aunt, whom both loved spicy food. They ordered the same Tom Yam soup, but EXTRA SPICY!! I really can't imagine how it could be spicier than it already is.
Then there was the "otak-otak" dish. Basically it was prawns, squid and fish meat cooked with "otak-otak". It was really good too, not to mention spicy! =p
Kee Peng and I were sweating our butts off throughout the meal. I can't even count the number of iced tea that both of us drank that night! =)
Towards the end of the meal, the soup actually tasted really good. The spicy-ness was actually an enjoyment rather than suffering. They even said that the longer they keep the soup, the spicier it becomes. No wonder they tapao-ed the Tom Yam dish back home. =D
After the meal, Kee Peng said he was really full and his stomach was burning. For me, I was equally full, but my stomach didn't feel that way.
Instead, I felt like something was stuck in my throat. I didn't know what it was, until we stepped out of the car and
*BURRRRRRRPPPPP*
Oops, paiseh =p
OMG! I only have 1 photo of him! xP

MNP
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
@#$%^&*@#$%#^$%*&@#%
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
OMGWTFBBQ!!
What's wrong you ask? THIS!!
Mobile Number Portability
MNP=change telco without changing number.
e.g.
019-1234567 (Celcom)
can be changed to
019-1234567 (DiGi)
All this while, my 019 number belongs to my mum and it's also a supplementary line. If MNP was possible, I would've done it long ago. But I didn't know it was called MNP in the first place.
I first heard of this from my father last month, August. So I asked a DiGi dealer at Damansara Kim to verify its existence. After all, if anyone were to know, it'd be them, right? WRONG!!
They denied every single possibility of it's existence. So I believed them. I even bought a DiGi prepaid package from them at RM48 just because of the oh-so-nice number. Then, just recently, I converted the line from prepaid to postpaid, which will be activated by this Saturday.
Since I'm now a DiGi customer, I surfed the DiGi website a little and bumped into MNP by chance. Then when I read the dates, I realise that postpaid customers can port (convert) from 15th September onwards, which was last Monday!! And I converted my prepaid to postpaid on Wednesday!! GERAMNYA!!!!
But who to blame but myself for
1) not checking the internet
2) easily believing people's words without verifying them
3) acting too hastily
Now that nasi sudah menjadi bubur, all I can do is continue with my original plan and act as if MNP had never existed.
P/S: I spent around RM80 for my new 016 number instead of the maximum or RM25 if I ported my 019 number... T_T
*BIG SIGH*

I do... Forever and ever...
It was my cousin's wedding last Saturday and part of it was held in my house! =)
The reason was that my cousin, Choy Ping, is from Malacca and her husband lives in KL. So it was kinda troublesome if her wedding was seperated by a 2-hour long journey. Since my mum was her aunt, my house was chosen. =)
They came over to my house on Friday night to prepare the bride as well as my house. =p
My cousin, Choy Ping and her lovely hand-made cake. =D
I heard that the person who made this was really skillful and passionate =)
Then, on Saturday morning, everyone was busy cooking, taking photos, preparing music, etc.
My mum and my cousin =)
The groom was scheduled to reach at 9am but they said he would SMS before he reaches.
Just around 15minutes after 9, the groom made his appearance. =)
Together with his "heng dai" (brothers) of course.
Before the groom can meet his bride, the bride's "sisters" had prepared a 3-stage obstacle for the groom =)
Guys: Open the door! =p
Girls: Angpau first! =D
Obstacle 1 (RM99.99)
I myself can't really hear what they said but here's a rough idea:
***Hong bao = Red packet (directly translated)***
-------------------------
Girls
Red shirt guy
Striped shirt guy
Groom
All
-------------------------
"This hong bao, this hong bao has what you want"
"I'll take that hong bao too"
*Woahhh*
"Eh, when we left, we weren't told to bring hong bao woh..."
"You want Hong bao right? The hong bao would be him"
(he was wearing a red shirt)
*laughs*
"We'll just chunk him in as the hong bao, you want it?"
*laughs again*
"Ah..."
"Take your time, take your time, take your time!"
"Who is willing to fork out RM90?"
"Open the door first, open it first!"
"8... 7... 6..."
"I'm putting it in the packet..."
"5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."
"Nah, I wrapped it nicely for you"
"Wait a minute"
"Put the key into the lock first"
"You saw us put the money in just now"
*Opens door*
"Who to give this hong bao to?"
And the groom successfully passes stage 1!
Oh wait, there's a stage 2?
Obstacle 2 Part 1
Say "I love you" in 10 different languages.
-------------------------
Girls
Groom
Guys
Me
All
-------------------------
*Chatter*
"Saya cinta padamu!" (Malay)
*Woahhh, claps*
"Hokkien ah, WA! ai lu?"
*laughs*
"OK, err, France, jet, jet what?"
"What is it in French again?"
"je t'aime ma seh kua"
"What? eat what ah?" *'sek' in cantonese means eat*
"je ner seh kua"
*laughs*
*chatter*
"Number 7!"
"You haven't said it in Cantonese yet"
"Ngo ngoi lei!" (cantonese)
*Nods heads*
*duno what they saying*
"Japanese!"
"Ai shiteru" --- Me
"Hmm, japanese"
"Sumemasen!" (means sorry)
*laughs*
"Ai shiteru" --- Me again
*chatter + laugh*
"sarangheyo"
"sarangheyo!"
"Ok, number 9, 2 more to go"
"2 more language"
"How bout this language?"
"Naro anesh ta" (no idea)
*laughs*
"Eh one more"
"Yamateyo" (no idea)
*laughs*
"Eh, how bout tamil?"
*whispers* "Japanese"
"Oh japanese, ai shiteru!!"
*Cheers + claps*
Obstacle 2 Part 2
My wife's lips
-------------------------
Girls
Guys
All
-------------------------
"So big!! Must be yours!!"
*Laughs*
"Don't you regret it!!"
*Wooo~~*
"So big... hahaha"
"Only 2 chances, gotta do pumping if you get it wrong"
"Every single one is hers"
*echos*
"This one"
"Ngekkkkk"
"Is it correct?"
"Wrong!!"
*Chatter*
"It's wrong, second chance!"
*duno*
"This one"
"is the wrong one"
"This one is the wrong one"
"Lips are to feel, not to see"
"No no no, none of it are correct"
"The correct one is sitting upstairs"
*chatter*
"Our man is a gentleman, he didn't kissed before!"
*laughs + chatter*
"This kind of people don't exist anymore!"
"There is..."
"You guys better get it right, or else all of you have to do 33 pumpings"
*Chatter*
"Only 2 chances"
"1 more chance"
*chatter*
"We won't die from pumping"
*duno*
"Pumping, pumping pumping, pumping..."
"You need not do 33 pumpings"
"All of you can help to add up to 33"
"Only 33 times"
"You must do some pumping"
*points at groom*
Second obstacle: PASSED!!
OMG... what's this for?
Obstacle 3
Food challenge
-------------------------
Guys
Girls
Groom
All
-------------------------
*chatter*
"Eat a little"
"The door is already opened, no need to eat!"
"That's the toilet"
*laughs*
"Aih... So troublesome!"
"Oh I saw it!"
*points at the door*
"Finish it"
"Bottoms up"
"Pep.. pep.. peppermint"
*Yaaaaaaaaam... SENG!!*
*Groom drinks*
*claps*
"Eh you must at least finish one"
"You didn't even do half of that"
*passes the glass*
*yaaam, seng*
"So little left"
"Finish it la"
*echos*
*claps*
"So the rest you all handle, we already drank"
*chatter, chatter, couldn't decipher* =p
So it went on to the "special" noodles =)
Proof that the groom ate some =)
Clean clean oh...
Finally, he meets his bride... =D
***Censored!! PG-13***
The groom, Terence Ho
and
his bride, Choy Ping
Parents:"I've been waiting too long for this cup of tea!" =p
They give respect to the elders, while we, the younger generation give respect to them! =p
Just shaking hands, no tea... Haha =p
After the tea ceremony, they walk out the door accompanied by the bride's parents. =)
Cute bear bear... =)
Then, we all headed to the groom's house.
Let's see who's the lucky girl! =D
Didn't take much photos, so let's just skip this part =)
Wedding dinner at Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club. =)
There were 2 other weddings at the club that night and not to mention the 'buka puasa' buffet dinner =)
The bride and groom walking the aisle =)
I only found out that the groom is from MCA when this person showed up, Dato’ Seri Shahrizat. =)
Me and most of my cousins =)
Pop!! =D
Time to 'YAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM SENG!!'
Look who's also interested =)
After that, there were a few more group photos, which excluded me so I'm not gonna post them up. =p
I was gonna vomit anytime OK!! Ate too much =p
The dinner ended and everyone went home happy, especially the newly-wedded couple =)
Enjoy =)

Goodbye good friend
Yet another friend who's going overseas for further studies...
At least this time, I was actually invited to her farewell... =)
It's Yuhhui =)
When she invited me, she said it was a pot luck party. That means everyone has to bring something right? But she insisted that I don't have to. She didn't even let me come earlier to help...
I tried to carpool with Han Sheng so I could go early to help, but he was busy as a bee.
But on the day itself, I suddenly received an SMS from Yuhhui requesting for extra tables. I secretly said "Yippee!" =p
The party was supposed to start at 7pm. I brought the table there at 6.30pm then looked for something to do. That's when her uncle asked me to help him with the lanterns. =)
We hung the lanterns outside then waited for the sun to set before lighting them. The environment was so nice... =)
One by one, Yuhhui's parents' friends come over. Her friends were mostly late, as expected. =p
They all sat outside, chatted, while waiting for the feast to begin. At around 7.20pm, the party officially started when Yuhhui's mom invited all of us to start eating. =)
OMG all the food was really good!! The sushi was gone the moment it was served!! Also, the cocktail that they made was so tasty that I drank it until I was full. =p
Everyone made new friends that night. So there were plenty to talk about. Most of the night was spent chatting and mingling around.
Then Sharon came by and said it was also a surprise party for Jason whose birthday falls on October 3rd. Everyone stood up, getting ready to "surprise" Jason. Then, out of nowhere, Jason popped up in front of the door.
For one moment, everyone stood still and stared at Jason. To keep it a surprise, I said "since everyone is standing up, let's take some photos!" =D Phew!! And he didn't suspect a thing... =p
So the camwhoring session began... Obviously, Yuhhui couldn't resist the opportunity to camwhore! xD
Here's a photo of me and Yuhhui
After that was the group photos!!
Eventually, this happened:
"Haha.. we all gathered to take a group pic, it was Yuhhui's farewell party, then suddenly Mel, Sharon and Siew Mei brought out a cake singing the birthday song.
Okay la, sing as well, thought it was someone's birthday, tiba-tiba everybody wished my name instead! huh?!?!?!
The rest is history.
Thanks girls for planning this up! It's totally random and surprising. App it."
Quoted from Jason's Facebook.
Does he look surprised to you? =p
But he was definitely happy! =D
The cake is small, but it's no ordinary cake!! It's a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake!! OMG! xP
It was so good, everyone wanted a bite! =p
That includes me!! xD
Then there was an open session where everyone would
1) Intro themselves
2) Tell everyone how they knew Yuhhui
3) Give her some word of advice
I don't really remember what everyone said but they sure sound pretty motivational!! =p
Here's what I said:
"When you're studying, and you can't get something into your head, remember this:
'The more you learn, the more you know, the more you know, the more you forget, the more you forget, the less you learn, so why bother to learn?'
Then, kick back and relax a little, then you'll get it eventually. =)"
I think I remembered Han Sheng saying that this was the first time all the food was finished. But I think what he meant was "almost" finished. We had to play indian poker to clear the leftovers. =p
Basically everyone gets a card and sticks it on his/her own forehead. You can see everyone's card except your own. Then, one by one, we would have to decide if we're in or out. If someone decides to sit out, then he/she would have to eat 1 portion. Then the remaining who are in would compare each others card. The person with the smallest card have to eat the same number of portions as the number of people who were still in!!
I remember there was 1 round, Jason came up with the idea of eating the watermelon WHOLE!! That means including the skin!! =p
I lost 1 round and ended eating that. It wasn't that bad... It tasted like vege... =p
Just when we thought the food was finished, Yuhhui brought out another plate of jelly!! And I think I ate around 20 pieces coz I lost 1 round and in 1 round I sat out. (the penalty for sitting out was 5 pieces)
After the jelly was disposed of, the party kinda ended and everyone headed home... =)
>>>More photos on Yuhhui's blog.<<<
Enjoy!! =D

The king in action!
We have 2 lecturers for Engineering Structures.
1) BORINGGGGGG a.k.a Dr.Jeffrey Chiang
2) Ok ok la... a.k.a Miss Jen Nee
The fact is, Miss Jen Nee is not a PhD holder, so she can't teach a whole subject herself. Instead, she taught half of the subject.
And thank God who sent her to us, or we could've
1) Died of boredom
2) Failed the subject
Well, her half is finally done, so its back to good ol' boring lecturer.
Even you can guess what's coming next...

=================================================
On the other hand, I went to the Uptown for a little supper the other day and found this shop called 100YEN. They sold this kind of desert which is quite special. It's called Snow Ice.
The ice is specially pre-made with the intended flavour. e.g. Mango and milk. I tasted the mango snow ice and I highly recommend it!! =D
It's a MUST-TRY!! If you're wondering where it is, here's a rough idea.
Click the picture for larger view
I'm not really sure of its exact location, but it should be around here.
*Credits to Mike for giving me a more accurate location =)*
Enjoy! =D

The law of change
Everything changes with time.
A building will wear out, corrode, get cracks and will therefore be replaced with a new building.
Children would soon grow out of their clothes so they'll eventually need new ones.
Pets, usually with a shorter lifespan, will die and we as their owners should move on.
Blog posts will become outdated and new posts will replace the old.
Blog templates will get boring over time and will need replacing.
So, enough crapping now, back to the point.
I'm planning to change my blog template but couldn't really find the right one. I might try to partially design it, by modifying existing templates... But it won't be easy... =p
I've been quite busy for the last 2 days, going out the whole day without rest, I'll be updating on that soon.
For now, I would like to introduce a new blogger!! =D
I knew him in form 3 while studying in SMK Damansara Utama. He was always very quiet, but do not underestimate him, he can kick your ass in both football and studies. Well at least that always happens to me. =p
He doesn't like to initiate a chat. He always wait for someone to talk. And if that doesn't happen, you'll hear a pin-drop silence in the room. But when the discussion gets going, you'll eventually find that he's actually not that bad... =)
He also dislikes taking photos. i.e. Anti-camwhore. So that's why photos of him only appears in group photos, with at least 1 person in it with him. I only have a few photos with him alone in it.
Hari Anugerah SMKDU
A more recent photo...
In my house trying the smile trigger of my camera =)
But don't be mistaken, he was actually "cute" at one point where at least 3 girls in the class would say so.
Being someone who plans ahead of time, he doesn't always like last minute events. Which is the exact opposite from my form 6 friends who always have last minute plans. e.g. "Lets go Genting now", "Let's go ghost-hunting tonight", "Let's go Redang tomorrow", etc. A very detailed plan has to be laid out for him to even consider attending it.
Pangkor Trip
Eh, am I too serious here? Ok la time to talk about games. =)
From 10 guys you know, more than 7 of them are probably gamers. No matter if they're hardcore or softcore... XP
So the point is, he's a gamer too. During form 5, he was so obsessed that he would game every night. So I kinda got pulled in as well. What game you say? Well, what else? DotA of course... =)
Not to mention a few MMORPG's. =p
In DotA, we both didn't like to always lose so both of us kinda "trained hard" and read lots of guides, and here's the results!! xD
I think from this point onwards, he should do the talking...
Behold,
En Route to Paragon
Announcement: He recently removed his blog due to personal reasons.
